| FAQ
What
will a liposuction do for me?
A liposuction may improve body shape by removing exercise-resistant
fat deposits with a tube and vacuum device.
How
long is the procedure?
A traditional liposuction can last up to 2 hours. An
Ultrasonic-assisted Liposuction takes an extra 30 minutes
to 1 hour to complete.
What
is the cost of a liposuction surgery?
The average cost of liposuction surgery is generally
around $2,500 depending on the target surgical area.
What
kind of anesthesia is used?
Depending on what you and your surgeon agree on, liposuction
surgery may use local, epidural, or general anesthesia.
How
long before I can go back to my normal routine?
Following a liposuction surgery, patients are generally
back to work within 1 to 2 weeks. Swelling and bruising
will take an average of 1 to 6 months (sometimes more)
to completely disappear. Use of tumescent technique
or UAL may decrease post-operative bruising and swelling.
How
long before I have to get another liposuction?
The results of a liposuction surgery are permanent.
However, patients must maintain a sensible, healthy
diet and exercise regularly to keep from re-gaining
weight.
